About the piece

Loose in a bag, sunglasses pick up scratches. This slim sleeve of firm vegetable-tanned leather protects them, and it is flat enough to slip into a jacket pocket.

There is no flap or clasp to fiddle with. Squeeze the sides and the opening bows apart, so your glasses slide in and out.

It is saddle-stitched by hand in pale thread and stamped with the 1985 mark. Like all vegetable-tanned leather, it darkens and takes on a patina as you carry it.
